Media Watch

This programme should be compulsory viewing for all HSC students! After 20 years on the air, Media Watch remains the weekly 15-minute depth-charge of media analysis which keeps journalists on their toes. Sometimes it's simply about lazy journalism; sometimes, more relevant to our Module A work, it's about digging deeper to reveal hidden biases and other worrying (or even sinister) motivations lying beneath the surface of some of the news reporting going on around the country every day. How often does "truth" in the news become a casualty of poor issues coverage, political bias or corporate influence? This is the show that Winston Smith could only dream of!

On the show's website, you can watch past and current episodes, subscribe to the weekly vodcast, and make use of a range of other resources, links and materials provided.
